Round Rock Ranching is part of a pilot program called ALUS (Alternative Land Use Services). This project was initiated in the Country of Vermilion River through a partnership with Delta Waterfowl and provides a unique opportunity to showcase and develop a marketplace for Environmental Goods and Services (EG&S). Our ranch provides a huge variety of public goods including:
- wildlife habitat
- clean water
- protection of rare plant species
- carbon sequestration
- clean air
- views
As part of our commitment to the ALUS program we have seeded native range, planted hundreds of trees and fenced off riparian areas.
We are quite excited to be part of this producer/consumer driven initiative.
